No, Dogeared does not produce a retail print catalog at this time. The Internet allows us to add items and update our availability every day. Please check the site often!
How do Dogeared Dollars (gift certificates) work?
Dogeared Dollars, gift certificates are available in denominations of $25, $50, $75 and $100 and will not be taxed. Gift certificates are immediately emailed to your recipient. If you want to keep it a secret, have the gift certificates sent to your own email address, then print or forward the email to the gift recipient.
To redeem a gift certificate, select a gift and begin the ordering process. You will be asked for your certificate number at the beginning of the checkout process. When you see a box marked "Gift Certificate," Simply enter your gift certificate code, and when you're finished, click the Process Order button. The amount of the certificate will then be deducted from your final order total.

All of our wonderful little treasures come "As Shown" and are pre packaged ready to find a home. Currently we are only able to customize pieces within our reminder line through our Custom bridal portal. Custom orders typically take up to 2 weeks to arrive and are not eligible for return. Dogeared.com carries a large selection of our newest items, best sellers and long time favorites. Do all Dogeared products come carded?
Many of our products do come carded with a special message that makes up part of the Dogeared magic! We have worked very hard trying to spread good energy one jewel at a time. All card copy is available to read on our site. Some products have specific concept cards and some come on Dogeared cards. (There are only a few that are not carded.) All packaging details are noted on each product description page.
Where can I find a retailer in my area that carries Dogeared products?
Please contact Customer Service with your zip code, city name, or any other major city in your area, and let us do the rest. Dogeared retailers, however, may be limited in the items they carry. We cannot guarantee they will have the item you are looking for.

Do all Dogeared products come boxed?
The majority of our necklaces do not come boxed. Each product attribute is noted on the specific product description page. If a product is available boxed it will have a "gift box" bullet on that product page. The reason we do not offer everything boxed is so we can offer our customers the lowest price point.
All of our products do come individually packaged in our environmentally friendly padded mailer made from 100% recycled fibers with a "Dogeared" logo that is perfect for gift giving.

Placing An Order
Promotion Codes
Dogeared promotion codes are redeemed during the order checkout process on the Options & Methods page. To redeem a promo code, enter the code in the promotion code box during checkout. The promo code reduces your basket subtotal only, and does not apply toward Sales Tax or Shipping and Handling. A promo code can be only used once per customer, and cannot be combined with other promotions or applied to previous purchases. International shoppers are welcome to use promo codes! By the way, notice of special promotions are just one of the benefits you get when you register at Dogeared.com.
Sales Tax
Sales tax is added to all orders shipped to California. Sales tax is not charged on shipments to gift recipients outside California.
Payment Options
Dogeared accepts American Express, VISA, MasterCard credit cards and PayPal. We also accept ATM cards with a VISA or MasterCard logo. We do not accept cash, checks or CODs.
Gift Card Users: Before placing an order with a Visa, Mastercard or American Express Gift Card, you must call and inform the credit card company that you wish to activate your card for online purchasing. In order to redeem your gift card through Dogeared.com please make sure the gift card balance covers the product, shipping and tax for your order.

- B.) You got so excited about your cool new jewels, you were trigger-happy and clicked something twice. This means more than one transaction has been placed in a short period of time. Please contact Customer Service to make sure you're not getting more jewels than you wanted. (But, honestly, is there too much of a good thing?)
Declined
We're sorry, but because of insufficient funds, your transaction was declined. I know - we've never heard that one before, either. You should either try using another credit card or call the credit card company in question. (Cross your fingers beforehand.)
What is a CVV2 number?
These are the last three digits that can be found on the back of your Visa or Mastercard. For you Amex holders, it's the four digits located on the front of the card. If you're not sure, or the numbers are faded from all that shopping, please contact your credit card company before placing your order.

How do I know if my order was processed?
Before checking out, make sure to double-check the information you entered is as accurate - especially your email address. If you have successfully placed a purchase, your checkout page will give you an order reference number, and you will immediately be sent a confirmation email receipt with your order information. Your email confirmation receipt will have the amount that was deducted from your credit card. Can I send multiple products to different addresses on one order?

Can I place a backorder?
If the little beauty you want is not in stock, you need to sign up on our waiting list. We will send you a notification email the minute that particular item is back in stock. For your security purposes in connection with your credit card, we do not take back orders.

All gift messages are printed on the packing slip and, unfortunately, cannot be modified. Packing slip and order goes to one location. If you have checked the "gift purchase" box during checkout, don't sweat it, the packing slip will not include the price, so the lucky gift recipient will not know how generous you are!

If you received one of our jewels or gifts within 30 days (with the exception of our Make A Wish necklaces and bracelets) and aren't totally in love with it, go ahead and send it back. As long as there isn't any evident wear and tear, you've repacked the gift in its original condition and packaging, and have included its packing slip, there shouldn't be any problem in processing your return. We will initiate your refund/credit less shipping as soon as your return has been received. Dogeared.com will not accept returns after 30 days from purchase date.

After ordering, you will receive two email confirmations from Dogeared. First, we will confirm receipt of your order within a few minutes of ordering. Then, you will be notified when your order ships.
When will my order arrive?
Most orders placed after 10 AM PST Monday-Thursday will ship out within a day of ordering. (We do not ship Saturdays, Sundays, or major holidays.) The Dogeared Fulfillment Center is located in Mobridge, South Dakota because its location allows us to reach more customers more quickly. Your order will be shipped USPS Priority Mail unless you select an alternative shipping method. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will ship out on Monday.
Once shipped, orders in the U.S are generally received within 7 business days.
Express services are also available to certain locations. Transit times may increase if your order in being shipped to a rural address (examples: addresses in Alaska, Hawaii, Guam and Puerto Rico) or during holiday seasons.

Address Corrections
There is a $10.00 charge any for UPS address changes on packages that need to be re-routed during delivery due to an incorrect address, which is the same fee we are charged for correcting the address. Please be sure that you enter the correct shipping address during checkout.
Reshipping Fees
Customers are responsible for reshipping charges for all orders returned due to an incorrect address or missing shipping information.

How do I care for my Dogeared jewelry?
Keep your jewelry happy!
- Protect all jewelry from scratches, sharp blows, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and sunlight
- After each wearing, gently wipe each piece of jewelry clean of make-up and skin oils with a 100% cotton cloth.
- Store jewelry separately so it doesn't scratch other jewelry.
- Remove jewelry when doing household tasks such as gardening, cleaning, household repairs or other strenuous activities.
- Apply make-up and hair spray before putting on your jewelry. Make-up and hair spray contain chemicals that may affect your jewelry.
- Do not store jewelry next to heating vents, window stills, or in the car.
- Store jewelry away from the sunlight. The sun may fade some gemstones.
- Do not wear jewelry while in a pool, hot tub, or bathing. The chlorine in the water can damage various gemstones and metals including gold.
- Always store bead necklaces strung on silk flat because silk stretches over time.
- Frequent cleaning is recommended to maintain its true beauty. Salt water, chlorine in swimming pools, soap, perfumes, personal products and perspiration take their toll on all fine jewelry. Wipe your jewelry carefully with a soft cloth to keep it clean and enjoy!
How do I keep my silver Dogeared jewels sparkling?

- If using commercial silver/gold cleaners - read the label, and if in doubt, do not use a chemical cleaner. Some gemstones that cannot be placed in a commercial cleaners are: pearls, lapis lazuli, malachite, opals, coral and turquoise.
- Jewelry polishing cloth or sunshine - use lightly to restore luster. Do not press hard when polishing gold filled or plated jewelry or you will damage the surface.
- Easy homemade solution for cleaning silver jewelry - the best way to clean in places where a polishing cloth can't reach is simple. First take a small bowl that holds about a quart of water and line it with aluminum foil. Then add, hot water, a tablespoon of baking soda and stir. Place silver jewelry in the solution for about one minute, rinse clean and let air dry. If you have a build up of dirt in hard to reach places, just put dishwashing liquid in a bowl of water and soak overnight. This is how our Dogeared jewelry experts get their silver jewels sparkling!
Why is my sterling silver jewelry tarnishing?
Tarnishing is a normal process caused by oxidization and moisture from air and even sunshine. If you store your sterling silver jewelry in open air, you expose it to air and humidity, which can both cause it to tarnish. To reduce tarnishing, we recommend you keep all of your sterling silver jewelry in an air-tight protective bag made from tarnish proof cloth or use a reseal able plastic bag with the black anti-tarnish paper we've provided you. Pearls and opals, however, should be stored in fabric instead of plastic because they need to "BREATHE".
What is Gold Dipped?
Our exclusive Gold Dipped process begins with a sterling silver base metal, a very thin nickel layer, and the beautiful word or charm is then dipped in 14kt gold. The nickel helps silver and gold bond and become friends. It also helps prevent the gold from wearing off and calling it quits. Over time, Gold Dipped jewelry can potentially wear.
